Sherbet

I wish I had some sherbert right now! Our a/c is out and its 78 inside and 90 something outside. I am sitting here sweating like a pig, but I wanted to post this baby before we go camping. Which will be another sweat fest, as the forecast is 101 today as we are setting up, 99 tomorrow, and 100 on Sunday while we are packing up. I am hoping this Bottomless Lakes State Park, has a decent place to swim. But anyhow, this is Katie's requested quilt. FINISHED! I got her done last night. And mailed it out while the hubs was home on lunch.

The backing is a pretty blue fabric. It is the exact same color as my Summer Snowballs quilt backing which I made last year, and I kept having deja vu.

The binding is pieced using 2 of the fabrics from the front.

Considering I drew this last Saturday, I have to admit I'm impressed its done 5 days after it was sketched.

Flying through this project. :) The photo still doesn't show the fabrics very well, I wanted to take a pic outside but its too windy.

Orange and Raspberry Sherbet all over my bed!

It doesn't look like it so much in this photo, but these fabrics are just perfect sherbet colors. I'm digging it, even though you know I have trouble with the randomness. The photo makes it worse because 2 of the pink fabrics look the same in the pic. But its a beaut.

Katie's Request

I love my Katie. She requested I make her a quilt to gift. So I said yes, and she sent me some fabrics to play with, and I am going to wash them up tomorrow.

Yeah I know....

I happen to have a lot of projects right now. A LOT! Did you notice I updated my current project list?? Yeah, its bad I know. I need to finish some of this stuff up!! I am so happy the hexagon directions came out. I want to get this throw sewn together. If I can get the top done, then I think I will set this one aside for a couple of months. I don't need to have it finished until October.

I went to Rachel's yesterday. I had to drive to Lubbock to pick up the husband from the airport. I had my punch card full after my visit a week ago, so I went to use my 25 bucks...and then spent 23 bucks. ahem.. oh well

No! I won't ever try. This is as big as I ever want to go. And I'm pretty sure it will be a LONG LONG time before I decide to make one this big again. But I'm glad I don't hate it anymore.

Red White and Blue

We are a patriotic family, so I had to make sure my July quilt would be done in time. It was a kit I purchased from Fatquartershop.com. I cannot wait to hang it up!
