Adopted Quilts

I recently have been feeling very overwhelmed by the number of quilts I have.
Especially since 75% of them just sit folded up in the top shelf of my closet.
I didn't make them so they could sit on a shelf.

I pulled all of the quilts I know never get used, and started looking for homes for them.

Here are the quilts that have been adopted.

I thought I would feel sad, but I feel relieved.
They all had special meaning to me, but I want them all to be used and loved up.

Hearts and Rearranging

I've made great progress on my Vintage Modern hearts.
It's in my machine getting quilted now.

Our multipurpose room has always been difficult for me.  After many many months of stewing over this... I came up with a new layout I talked the hubs into trying.
(we need to repaint the blue wall obviously)
SO far it is working GREAT!
I'm still stewing on things for the walls, and real chairs for this space.

The best part of this redo was this new table.  We used to have a classroom table I used for cutting after school and on weekends.  But this table is just for my cutting and has LOTS of storage.  The kitty is happy that I gave her little hut a cube.  She spends lots of snoozing time in there.

So far so good!

New Year. New Goals.

Setting quarterly goals worked so well last year, I am planning to use the same system this year.

My first quarter goals are as follows:

1. Big Game
2. Vintage Modern Hearts
3.  I-spy for Will
4.  Thimble Blossoms Speedwell
5.  Bonnie and Camille Log Cabin
6.  Swoon - A-Long

I hope to get these done between now and the end of March.
I think I can do it!

I am also planning to do my darnedest to stash shop first.
I will not be buying any fabric for new projects, save for the new Bonnie and Camille fabric lines that come out.

Finished Fancy Forest

Last night 26 minutes before the ball dropped in my time zone I finished my Fancy Forest.

I am so happy to have completed this project!
Each year I go into a new type of project with fear that shows itself as annoyance and a bad attitude.
This was it.

Next year it will be the Quilter's Patch project, which I signed up for and instantly regretted.

Quilts of 2016

I accomplished a lot this year!
Here is my annual parade of quilts.
I met all of the goals that I set for myself this year.
I plan to try doing quarterly goals again next year!
